Aloha Happy New Year!
What a wonderful year full of change and adventure 2024 was for Pu’uwai Aloha Bakery
As many of our long time customers know we had several changes at the bakery last year.
In May 2024 we had to move locations from our known Lusitana storefront where we offered an array of wonderful fresh baked goodies available for purchase daily.
During this time of transition we have been offering cakes and cupcakes for pre-order only, as we wanted to make sure we could still serve our gluten free Ohana while we work on taking the bakery in a new expanded direction.
Along with a transition of spaces there was also a transition of ownership!
Susan, founder and creative genius behind Pu’uwai Aloha Bakery, who created this wonderful business and all the recipes from scratch, moved to Hilo Big Island to start a new journey there.
Susan will be opening on Big Island Feb 2025 as
GLUTEN FREE ALOHA, LLC with mail order service, online classes and distribution to some local shops and markets.

Franceska, Pu'uwai's Cake Baker and Decorator, is continuing the Honolulu based location.
Franceska has been working hard as the new business owner to continue the high quality baking we are known and loved for.
We changed the business name (slightly!) for this fresh start and now are called Pu’uwai Aloha Cakes and Events.
Both Pu’uwai Aloha Cakes and Events and Gluten Free Aloha continue to utilize Pu'uwai aloha’s beautiful original recipes with the highest quality and healthiest ingredients available
We are still looking for our (more) permanent home on Oahu, and in the meantime will continue to offer our pre-ordered cakes. Keep an eye on the website and instagram, for all updates on where we are and what we are offering.
